OLDER PEOPLE LEARNING DISABILITIES MENTAL HEALTH

Corporate overview

Craegmoor's Philosophy

At Craegmoor we listen to and involve each individual in our support and care services, as no one guides and influences us better. Together we create opportunities for everyone to achieve their own personal goals.

We are fully committed to continuous quality improvement and the development of our staff. We aim to deliver the best possible outcomes for those who use our services, whilst promoting everyone's health, well-being and safety.

Craegmoor Healthcare was founded in 1995 and has since  grown substantially over the years. We now boast a national coverage of over 250 care homes, supported living units, independent hospitals, day care centres and further education colleges across England, Wales and Scotland.

We are the UK’s largest independent provider of care and support to adults with a range of specialist needs. These include learning disabilities, mental health problems, physical disabilities, dementia and nursing care for older people.

We currently employ 6,500 members of staff who are trained professionals, dedicated to enabling service users to recognise and develop the skills needed to live fuller and more independent lives. We support individuals in making their own choices and decisions in a homely and friendly environment.

Working closely with local authorities, Primary Care Trusts and NHS Trusts, Craegmoor is committed to building partnerships focused on constant service improvements which meet the needs of individual people and which are in line with regulatory requirements and best practice.

Our Support Centre, in Worcester, provides our homes and hospitals with administrative and financial services. Each operating unit is supported by a field based team of clinical governance support managers and a dedicated training team to ensure best practice and to support home and hospital staff in their training and their development.
