Job Details

Nursing - Qualified


  • Assisting with the assessment of nursing care needs.
  • Planning, delivering and evaluating individual care / treatment plans in consultation with Service Users, their relatives and the Care Team.
  • Conducting risk assessments.
  • Supervising care staff in the delivery of high standards of care / treatment to achieve planned goals.
  • Assisting with staff scheduling to ensure adequate people are available to meet requirements.
  • Participating in care staff supervisions and reviews and assisting with the induction and orientation of new care staff.
  • Maintaining the safe custody, administration, dispensing and storage of medication according to NMC Administration of Medication.
  • Participating in clinical audit / quality / continuous improvement processes.
  • Ensuring professional integrity and accountability, working at all times within the Nursing and Midwifery Councils ‘Code of Professional Conduct’ and any other service-specific Codes of Practice e.g. Mental Health Act (1983).

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 1st level Registered Nurse
  • Evidence of continual professional development
