Support Worker - Supporting you in Bristol
We are currently recruiting for our new supported living service that operates across Bristol and Wiltshire supporting individuals with a diagnosis of learning disability to live independently in their own homes or provide outreach support to access community facilities, leisure and education from their family home. Car owners desirable.
Specific Duties Include:
- Provides support and encouragement to Service Users in all areas / activities of daily living.
- Ensures the respect, dignity and rights to privacy of service users as far as possible.
- Contributes to the assessment of Service User’s needs and the development of individualised plans of care and support in consultation with Service Users, their relatives and the Care Team.
- Acts as an associate worker for an identified Service User, or designated group.
- Works with the care and support team to deliver high standards of service to achieve planned goals.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- NVQ level 2 in Care or equivalent care qualification or willing to work towards.
- Experience in a care / support or service related setting preferred.
