105th Birthday Garden Party For Wimbledon Park Care Home Resident

 

Wimbledon Park’s Arthur House Care Home held a lively garden party on Friday 17th July to celebrate resident Isabella Dawson’s 105th birthday. The event brought together residents, friends and family, as well as staff past and present, who also celebrated the 21st birthday of the care home itself.

Wimbledon Park’s Arthur House Care Home held a lively garden party on Friday 17th July to celebrate resident Isabella Dawson’s 105th birthday. The event brought together residents, friends and family, as well as staff past and present, who also celebrated the 21st birthday of the care home itself.

Arthur House, which is operated by the national specialist provider of care and support services to people with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, mental illnesses and older people, Craegmoor, laid on an afternoon of activities, including a buffet lunch packed-full of flavours of the world and live musical entertainment.

The party was officially opened by Craegmoor’s Chief Executive Officer, Ted Smith, who wished Isabella a very happy birthday in person before she opened her official birthday card from the Queen.

Noreen Cecil-Purvis, Manager of Arthur House Care Home, said today:

It is no mean feat reaching the age of 105 and we wanted to celebrate with Isabella and allow everyone in the community to join in the fun. Here at Arthur House, we all feel very thankful to have met Isabella as we have learnt so much from her wealth of life experiences .”

First of all I would like to wish Isabella a very happy 105th birthday. I also want to say a big thank you to Arthur House’s Manager, Noreen, who has tirelessly provided first-class care, support and friendship to all of Arthur House’s residents for the last 21 years.
