Craegmoor Healthcare, the largest independent provider of long term specialist care in the UK, is today pleased to announce the appointment of Angela Geer as its new business development and marketing director.
In this role Angela will work closely with Craegmoor’s divisional teams to spearhead the company’s growth agenda through a combination of organic growth, acquisition and successful tendering.
In addition to being a qualified teacher & holding a host of formal qualifications including a BA(Economics) and an MBA, Angela brings considerable experience to Craegmoor from the public, private & not for profit sectors.
Following many years in the Public Sector her career has taken her around the globe including a spell with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees in Hong Kong & a period in South Africa developing post apartheid social care services.
Within the UK Angela has worked extensively in the independent sector including being principal of Riverside School in Cumbria; Branch Manager with ISP Foster Care in Kent; Senior Manager with Corvedale Care in Shropshire & Kibble Enterprise in Scotland.
Angela also worked with the Trustees & CEO team at the St. Piers National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy (NCYPE).
In 2001, Angela became Director of Corporate Services & Development with the Sedgemoor Group, a position she held for five years before being appointed to the role of Development Director for Care UK Children’s Services division.
