Mental heath survey for people in Northern Ireland

 People in Banbridge are being asked to take part in a new mental health survey. The project, entitled Health in Mind, is being developed by a coalition of the Education and Library Boards, Action Mental Health, Aware Defeat Depression, Cause and Rethink.According to the Banbridge Leader, library users will be invited to take part in the online survey to find out how people access information about mental health and general well being.Helen Osborn, co-ordinator of the Health in Mind project, told the newspaper that over 160,000 people in Northern Ireland currently have mental health problems."Libraries want to ensure that all their resources, including their internet linked computers, are made as available as possible to people with mental health problems, to others who may be at risk of mental illness and their carers and families," she added.The Alzheimer's Society recently launched its Worried About Your Memory? campaign across Northern Ireland to increase the awareness of dementia issues across the country.  © Adfero Ltd
