The ordinary story of Graham’s incredible journey
When Graham first started at college he lacked confidence and needed high levels of support to manage his emotions and was often disruptive or withdrawn. This meant he found making friends and managing relationships with others difficult.
Three years on, Graham has achieved so much more than he ever thought he would and is a confident young man. With the ongoing support and encouragement of staff, Graham knows that he can do things for himself and is much more confident in his abilities. He travels independently and he can shop and prepare food whilst keeping to a budget.
Graham is also able to manage his own social life and will go to the pub for a drink, follow his interest in badminton and enjoys the company of his friends. He has developed a close personal relationship and is now a strong team player who is able to support others. When completing the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, his leadership skills supported others to complete the hardest task of a 50 mile expedition in arduous terrain.
