42-44 Lansdowne Road offers semi-independent living with staff support. These Homes give a true feel of independent living. The Homes are within easy reach of local shops, parks, leisure centre, main bus route and only 10 minutes from the city centre. Self medication is encouraged in both houses upon assessment, as is budgeting their own finances. Regular meetings are held to encourage residents to voice their views on living within the Home, these are acted upon and minutes are taken.

Residents are actively encouraged to take full part in all aspects of living from menu planning, shopping and budgeting. Residents cook their own meals with staff support on a one-to-one basis if requested or required. The staff support residents to maintain a safe, homely environment whilst enabling the residents to pursue an independent style of living with continued support for individual needs. Care plans are prepared with the residents to maximise their full potential enabling them to eventually pursue and independent way of living.

42 Lansdowne Road consists of two independent flats with a maximum of two sharing each flat, both having large bed-sit type living. Each flat has a seperate bathroom, toilet and kitchen which is shared with one other person. 44 Lansdowne Road is a converted four bedroom detached home, adjacent to 42 Lansdowne Road and consists of four, large-style, lockable bedroom and living areas with a shared kitchen for four persons. The Home also has two toilets and a bathroom. Both properties share a large garden with a patio seating area. A sleeping bedroom is sited within the Home for staff assistance during the night. The sleeping staff cover 42 Lansdowne Road during the night.
